Leone Fetter

Leone was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 7, 1940 to Morris and Florence Engel.

Leone was married to Lawrence Fetter on November 22, 1964. They spent fifty-eight years of marriage together.

Leone worked as a homemaker and cared for her two girls, Marcy and Sheri. Leone enjoyed thrift shopping and spending time with her family. She extended her compassion and love of people to everyone that she met. Her emotional connection to others was very important to her. Her signature greeting was a strong hug and a big kiss on the cheek along with Yiddish words of endearment.

Leone is survived by her husband, Lawrence; children, Marcy Simon (Benjamin) of Athens, GA, and Sheri Erickson of Raleigh; her sister, Doreen Cohen (Michael); grandchildren, Hannah Olis (Paul), Aaron Simon, Jacob Erickson, and Noah Erickson and many other family members and friends.

Leone is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Florence Engel.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2pm at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery, 450 N. State Street, Raleigh, NC 27604. Rabbi Steven Kirschner will be officiating the service.
