Lela M. Moody Rogers

September 21, 1921 – March 11, 2011

Lela M. Rogers, 89, of Sunnybrook Rehab, went to be with the Lord, March 11th, 2011. Lela, a former restaurant owner, that in life loved the lighter side and a little giggle or a good laugh. Today, she is joyfully singing in heaven.

Lela was predeceased by her husbands, James F. McKeithan, Sr., and Harvey Rogers, her parents Joseph and Emma (nee Grady) Moody, and her daughter Phyllis.

She is lovingly remembered by her children; son, James F. McKeithan, daughters Patricia M. Lowe and husband William, Jennie F. Campbell and husband Steve, Brenda Huff and husband Larry. Also, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and her brother Fred A. Moody and wife Rose. She will also be missed by her half sister, Lorene Turney and husband Gene and her half brothers, Joseph and James Moody.

The family will receive friends on Monday March 14th, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday March 15th at Raleigh National Cemetery, 501 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh NC.
