Lee Whitfield Tart

Lee Whitfield Tart, 83 of Newton Grove passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016. Mr. Tart's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the West and Dunn Funeral Home of Newton Grove at 11:00am. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. Mr. Tart will be buried at Hillcrest Cemetery of Newton Grove, NC.

Mr. Tart is survived by his son, Ben Tart and wife Beth of Newton Grove, granddaughter, Laura Kay Brantley Tart of Garner, sister and brother-in-law, Margarette and William Dunn of Fayetteville , brother, William "Billy" Tart of Texas.

Mr. Tart is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rose Tart, parents, Moses A. and Henrietta Tart, sister, Julia Naylor, brothers, Roy F. Tart and C. Marcus Tart.

Mr. Tart attended Meadow School and was a graduate of Campbell College.

He was a Highway Patrolman, Deputy Federal Marshall, Inspector with the Marshall Service,

and a private investigator.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, August 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p m
