Lauren was a lifelong resident of Raleigh. She was an alumni of Broughton High School and a member of Oak City Baptist Church.
Lauren’s most proud achievements are her two precious daughters, Sky Hope Alston, age 11 and Destiny Marie Alston, age 8.
She is survived by her mother Susan Hamm Schoonderwoerd, her brother Scott Charles Schoonderwoerd and her grandparents Pete Schoonderwoerd (Sue Anne). She is preceded in death by her father, Terry Karl Schoonderwoerd and grandparents OC Hamm and Juanita Hamm and Salley Shuping.
Lauren was loved by all who knew her, friends, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a private family service.
