She grew up in Middlesex, NC where she graduated from Middlesex High school in 1962. She was a member of the varsity basketball team where she was voted “most care free” in her senior class. She went on to obtain a business degree from Hardbarger Business College. She worked at College Foundation of NC for 28 years where she built many cherished friendships. After retirement, she and her twin sister worked as Business Managers at her twin sons’ insurance agency.
She was a true Southern Lady and a dedicated mother, wife, sister, and friend. She loved to serve others and always had a welcoming smile and gentle spirit. Judy preferred to give rather than receive and was always doing something special for others. She will be remembered for her carefree attitude and contagious smile and laughter. Judy loved her Lord and Savior and was dedicated to her church family at Richland Creek Community Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ray Taylor, and many trips to Kure Beach with her sons and family. She shared a very special bond with her twin sister, Joan Jones-Pitts. They loved antiques, shopping, and enjoyed an affinity for southern-style home decorating. Judy loved the holidays throughout the year and especially enjoyed Christmas and Thanksgiving. She made so many memories for her family with her dedication and meticulous planning of family holiday gatherings. Most of all, she will be remembered for living out her relationship with Jesus Christ.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her brother, Billy Graham Morris, her sisters Mary Elizabeth Trimble and Mildred Daniel, and granddaughter Meredith Edwards.
