Joseph “Joe” MacMillan, age 71, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on November 16, 2022 from cardiac and respiratory arrest.
Joe was born on December 10, 1950 in Queens, NY.
Joe worked as a 6th and 7th grade math teacher for the Wake County public school system at Washington 6th grade center, East Millbrook Middle School, and Fuquay Middle School.
After retiring from teaching, Joe worked at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
He loved teaching, movies, music, fishing, mountains, playing football, basketball and making people laugh.
Joe married Peggy on September 28, 1974 and were married for 48 years.
Joe is survived by his wife, Peggy, son Joseph, and brothers Mike and Doug.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Evelyn MacMillan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
