Jordan Nicholas Jeter, 27, passed away suddenly in Denver, Colorado on February 1, 2022. Jordan was born to Donna Bergeron and Glenn Jeter on May 7, 1994 in Raleigh. Jordan graduated from Ravenscroft High School in 2012. He was on the wrestling team, the kicker for the JV football team, and managed both the girls soccer and golf teams. While growing up in Raleigh, he participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Through that experience, he developed a lifelong friendship with his Big Brother, Doug Hodges.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in International Business from Elon University in 2016. During his time at Elon, Jordan was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, where he volunteered at the N.C. Food Bank and Boys and Girls Club of Alamance County. Jordan was both a board member and budgeting committee member of SwingPals, a non-profit organization that uses golf as a platform to teach underprivileged middle school-aged students self confidence and leadership skills in a caring environment.
Jordan moved to Boston in 2018 to become a business recruiter for ezCater, a technology startup. He was quickly promoted to senior recruiter, team lead and eventually to manager of business recruiting in 2021 while based in Denver.
Jordan was known for his generous heart and bright personality, evident by the many lives he touched. He never met a stranger. His smile, contagious laughter, and the value he placed on connecting with others made everyone an instant friend. His love for travel led him to explore India, England, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Jamaica, and Ireland. Jordan will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and caring personality. He loved spending time with his family and friends, watching soccer games (Go Chelsea!), tuning into Jeopardy daily, visiting art museums, going to concerts, and debating on all topics possible. His eclectic sense of style included one of his favorite hats, Patagonia pullovers, Columbia shorts, socks displaying famous works of art, and his signature camo Crocs. J-swag’s style will be greatly missed.
Jordan is survived by his loving family, mother, Donna; father, Glenn; sister, Morgan; and half-brother, Dash. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jordan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilda and Melvin Bergeron, and Marion and James Jeter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Road, Raleigh. The funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of the Neuse Road, Raleigh. Jordan will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh. Following the Burial, a Repast will take place at the Hampton Inn and Suites Raleigh/Crabtree Valley, 3920 Arrow Drive, Raleigh.
