John K. Peterson

John was born on January 14, 1953 in Darlington, SC to the late James and Susanne DE Maurice Peterson. After graduating from Clemson University, John had a career as a Design Engineer, and lived in Texas for 16 years before moving to North Carolina, where he worked for Flowserve for over 20 years.

John was an avid golfer who loved being out on the golf course. He closely followed the Clemson football team and the Carolina Hurricanes. He enjoyed being at the beach with his family.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robyn Peterson; his sons, J.C. and Kyle Peterson, and his brother Jim Peterson and his wife Mincy of Florence SC, brother- in- law Carl Hewett and his wife Caroline of Charlotte NC. He is also survived by a niece and several nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday May 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27612.
