John Patrick Monk

John Patrick Monk, age 32, of Raleigh, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 after being sick for several years. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Thursday, June 8th at 1:00 pm. The Rite of Committal will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Columbarium following the Mass.

John’s family will receive family and friends in the church vestibule starting at 12 noon before the Funeral Mass begins.

John was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Tom and Hazel Monk and maternal grandparents, Robert and Katie Benton.

John is survived by his parents, Mike and Susan and his brother, Robert. He is also survived by his aunt, Sharon Wilkinson and cousins, Margaret and Alex.

John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved listening to music, playing guitar, playing video games, watching movies especially documentaries and visiting his friends in New York during the summer. John will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
