JoAnn Mitchell Eaton

She was the daughter of Norwood H. Mitchell, Sr. and Mary Virginia Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Eaton, her son Michael William Kearney, and her brother Norwood H. Mitchell, Jr.

Mrs. Eaton worked for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and for her love of family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Kearney Partin and husband Tony; daughter-in-law Sue Kearney of Raleigh, sister-in-law, Brenda Mitchell of Kure Beach, NC, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two nieces and five great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends that will greatly miss her.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1pm at Raleigh Memorial Park's Chapel Mausoleum, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also in the mausoleum chapel.
