Jill Bond, 57, was born outside of Washington, DC to Richard and JoAnn Bond. She has one sister, Wendy Susan Bond of Cary, NC. Jill attended Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, MD, attended the University of Maryland and was accepted to the Jamaican School of Art.
In spite of her increasing number of disabilities she had an extraordinary life, never letting her condition define her, or stop her from trying. Jill used every deficiency as an opportunity to achieve every goal she set.
Jill absolutely loved life, had many friends who were touched by her strength, and her positive attitude. She was compassionate and adamant to always do her best to help others.
When Jill entered hospice on Tuesday, February 9th she was visited constantly by her friends, neighbors, and the kind people of Samaritan Ambulance Service. Jill has touched many lives and we are going to miss her smile, sense of humor and wisdom.
Services were held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jill’s name to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Cir, Raleigh, NC 27607 or The Center for Volunteer Caregiving, 1150 SE Maynard Rd., Suite 210, Cary, NC 27511.
