Jane was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 6, 1945. She attended Marquette University and earned her degree in Speech Pathology and spent her professional career teaching to speech impaired children.
A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband Patrick Joseph Carlin, daughter Maureen Perea (Christopher) and sons Michael (Gillian), Kevin (Gray), and Kyle (Karrie). She leaves this world 10 amazing grandchildren Patrick, Patrick, James, Hayes, Audrey, Riley, Annabel, Lillian, Johnny and Walsh with number 11 due in October. Jane is survived by brother Joel and sisters Luanne and Marcy.
She is predeceased by father Joseph, mother Marcy and brothers Michael and Paul.
Generous and welcoming, Jane was so loved and will be missed by so many wonderful family members and friends who believe their lives were better because Sweet Jane touched them.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28th from 5pm-8pm at the Mitchell Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.
Mass Celebration and Inurnment will be held at 11am Saturday, June 29th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Raleigh, NC.

Jane Maria Gramling Carlin lost her fight with lung disease and went to meet her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 26th.
