Jim (Wink), 78, of Raleigh, passed away on June 21, 2015. He was born March 15, 1937 in Wake Co. to the late James and Thelma McDavid. He married Macon Hughes on September 6, 1958, and she survives.
Also surviving are his daughters Robin Nolan and Sherri Schaffroth, four granddaughters and two grandsons. Jim’s brother and only son, Mark McDavid, preceded him in passing.
Jim graduated from UNC-CH in 1959, played basketball, was an assistant coach to Frank McGuire, and is still a Carolina Man!
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 3 pm at the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, Raleigh.
