James "Jim" Edward Johnson

James E Johnson (Jim) of Raleigh passed away on July 28, 2023. He spent his early life in Cumberland County, NC. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; Johnie and Ruth Davis Johnson. He was a long time member of Westover United Methodist Church. Jim retired from Bell South after more than 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife; Peggy Johnson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law; Maryann Johnson, brothers; Johnny and Gary (Karen) Johnson, sister; Susie Ratley (Wayne), special nephew; Paul Jones, and several nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his previous wife Doris and his brother Bobby Johnson.

The service will be Wednesday August 2nd, 2023 at 1:00 pm graveside at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. A visitation will be held at 12:30pm also at graveside.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westover United Methodist Church or the Boys Town Organization.
