James Marvin Boyette Jr.

James M. Boyette, Jr., 83, of Clayton died quietly on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Jim was born to James M. Boyette and Arbelia Bennett Boyette in Goldsboro, NC, and was raised in Wilson, NC. He graduated from Charles L. Coon High School and attended UNC - Chapel Hill, and was a member of Sigma Nu. He served in the U. S. Army, and was stationed in Panama.

In 1954, he married Nancy Adams of Rocky Mount, NC, and the rivalry between Rocky Mt. and Wilson continued. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, son, James M. Boyette III, and his wife Jennifer, and their children, Brooke and Anna Boyette, Reeves, Raegan, and Landon Kistler; and his daughter, Amy B. Brown and her husband Thomas, and their children Mason and Jacob.

A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1520 Canterbury Rd. Raleigh, on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
