Harriet Bradley Moore

Harriet Bradley Moore, age 89, a resident of Naperville, IL since 2008, formerly of Raleigh and Garner, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Silverado Memory Care in Naperville. She was born August 31, 1926 in South Boston, VA.

Beloved mother of Anne Bruce Moore Owens of Naperville, adored grandmother of Melissa (Kevin) Deihl of Crest Hill, IL and Natalie (Jason) Jirek of Plainfield, IL, cherished great-grandmother of Laura Anne Owens and Max Deihl; Jackson, Carter and Logan Jirek, devoted daughter of the late Holt Hawkins and Gertrude (nee Jones) Bradley, dear sister of the late Holt Hawkins (the late Jean) Bradley II, granddaughter of the late Major Jesse and Annie Jones, fond aunt of Ann Lowe Vodicka, Susan Bradley and the late Holt Bradley III, great-aunt and friend of many, former spouse of the late Robert B. Moore.

Harriet grew up in South Boston, VA and was a 1944 graduate of C.H. Friend High School. Harriet was employed as a secretary for Southeast Radio & Supply Company, Raleigh and later worked as a membership administrative assistant with the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).

Harriet was a former member of Highland United Methodist Church in Raleigh. She enjoyed playing cards, doing needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, crafts and was an avid reader and loved music, especially singing and dancing.

Visitation Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, Ill.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 27th at 11 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
