Barbara my thoughts are with you at this sad time.  I cherish my memories of our St Jacques trips with you and George.  I will remember George with his camera taking wonderful group shots as well as providing fun and laughs for us all.  He was a wonderful man and will be missed by many people,  My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

My Uncle George was a wonderful man. He was always so wise and a great man to learn from. He had tricks up his sleeve like magic tricks, etc.  He taught me how to shuffle cards and more.  May you rest in peace. I will always love you.  Love Vicki

Barbara, We love you both and will miss George more than you know, his laughter,his wit, and companionship whilst traveling , going to the movies or just being friends. 

George's fun loving nature even to telling the waiter to give the check to the next table exemplified outgoing personality. And you both loved dancing whenever the occasion presented itself, remember Rostock and the accordion player.

I met Mr. Flanagan in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1969. He was my 1st 2nd line manager and as a kid from the Mid-West, taught to respect my elders, (he was probably 5 years older than me), and my Superiors, clearly he was WAY above my pay grade, I addressed him as Mr. Flanagan when I saw him in the halluntil, one day he grabbed my arm and pulled me into an empty office and told me his name was George and I should never address him as misterI said yes, MrGeorge

George was an incredible mentor and I learned so much from him. He would stop by my office and draw ideas on my desk pad that when he left, I thought they were my ideas and I couldn't sleep until they were implemented

I have told these stories all over the world within IBM, Perot Systems and Sprint. Where ever I had young managers who needed to learn how to lead. 

I wish I had known he was here in Raleighwe are so closewe could have told each other some incredible storiesI will miss him!

He also taught me how to be a leader...He would come into my office, spend time drawing on my desk pad and leave with me feeling I had just come up with the most important idea (that he had planted) and I couldn't sleep until I had made it so...I have told this story all over the world within IBM and Perot Systems for over 40 years! I loved this man. I am so sorry I didn't know he was here in Raleigh. We could have told each other incredible stories...I'll miss him!

Dear Flanagans, Barbara, Please accept our condolences.  Bob and I liked George very much and he will be dearly missed.
