She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Taylor, Sr. of Pink Hill, NC, where she was born. She was one of eight children.
Gaynelle worked for the ABC Commission for 30 years and retired in 1979. She loved writing poetry and songs and fishing with her husband, David (deceased). She also loved visiting family and friends, in NY, FL and AL.
Her survivors are her son, Randy Robbins, his children, Colton and Annie and their mother, Debbie; her late son Kelly’s wife, Susan Robbins and their son Blake; sister, Bet; sisters-in-law, Anne Taylor, Penny Taylor and Harriet Robbins; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 18 from 7:00-9:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh. A funeral service will be Saturday, January 19 at 11:00am, also at Mitchell Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
