Felicia Carter Goodman

Felicia was born Aug 20, 1931 in Raleigh NC to the late Felix and Louise Carter. She was the 2nd oldest of four children, two preceded her in death. Felicia was educated in Raleigh, Rockingham, and finally Nursing School at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

Felicia married the late Claude Goodman Jr. in 1954 and four children were born from this union. They lived in Garner through the birth of all children, moving then to family land in Northwest Raleigh.

A devoted mother, Felica was devoted both to her family and her career as a Maximum Intensive Care nurse, helping countless others. She enjoyed her retirement starting in 1993, further helping others through volunteer services. She also donated regularly to her church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Claude Randall, and her husband, Claude Goodman Jr.

Felicia leaves her children, Dulcina Corn and spouse Ken, Rebecca McDowell and spouse Neill, and John Goodman and spouse June; daughter in law Lynne Goodman; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Heartland Hospice of Raleigh.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 starting at 10:00 am at Brown-Wynne, 300 Saint Mary's Street. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place, following the funeral, at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Blvd, Raleigh.
