Evelyn Bulluck Stanley

Evelyn Bulluck Stanley, 91, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2021. She was born on December 2, 1929, in Hobgood, Edgecomb County, North Carolina, The daughter of the late Mancy S Bulluck and Nolie Bland Bulluck.

She attended Raleigh Business School which she left early after the passing of her father and went on to work for J.B. Hunt and then Gregory Poole Equipment Company before starting a Real Estate Investment business with her Late Husband of almost 60 years, Norman K. Stanley. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at her second home in Pine Knoll Shores (where she enjoyed watching dolphins play and gazing at the ocean from her window for hours on end). She also loved feeding her birds, cooking, and taking care of and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Alton Bulluck and is survived by her sister, Doris Page of Raleigh, North Carolina, Her son, Kenneth Stanley and his wife, Michelle also of Raleigh, North Carolina.

She loved and was loved by many friends and family members including Jennifer Cross who for 2 years was a live-in care giver and visited her often after she moved to an assisted living facility and with whom she shared a special bond.

The family would also like to recognize and thank the staff at Waltonwood Lake Boone for the love and care that they provided Evelyn with for the last two years. They would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Rex Hospital who cared for her during the final few days of her life. Their care was extraordinary.
