Evelyn Holland Greenberg (Tidball)

Evelyn Holland Greenberg (Tidball), 88, passed away February 7, 2017. She was born on January 5, 1929, to Edward and Katherine Marcus Holland in Brooklyn, NY. She lived in Ellenville, NY, for 35 years, and then moved to Raleigh, NC. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, especially to NY to see her grandchildren, dining out, and collecting stuffed bears. In her later years, she loved sitting on her front porch with her husband, Ralph.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Greenberg, who passed away in 1994; second husband, Ralph Tidball, who passed away in May 2016; sisters, Blanche Hoffman and Florence Horowitz; and son-in-law, Michael Doss.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Ellen Doss; grandchildren, Nina Darren and Abby Doss, all of Schenectady, NY; nieces and nephews, Kathy Passer, Andrew Horowitz, Wendy Nasiff, Ted Greenberg, Marvin Greenberg, and Andy Greenberg.

A funeral service will be held 9am Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. A graveside service will follow at 2pm at Gladesboro Lutheran Church Cemetery, 3486 Gladesboro Rd, Hillsville, VA 24343.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
