Elvis Paul Chambers, 96, died on April 8, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living North Raleigh, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 18, 1926 to the late Seaborn Elon Chambers and Pauline Enderlin Chambers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Central Europe and at Stalag 13, Germany. Following his service duty, he worked for Memphis Light, Gas and Water Company and Memphis US Naval Air Station, Millington, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Zona Nelle Montgomery Chambers. He is survived by step daughter, Donna Ann Snyder Sessum (Bob); grandson, William Paul Sessum (Joy) and great grandson, Holden Lee Sessum.
Graveside services will be held with military honors on June 17th at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park and Funeral Home Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
