Elizabeth O’Daniel Smith, 98 passed away December 23, 2013 at the Covington Assisted Living in Raleigh. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 27, 1915, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. William O’Daniel, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter Jeanette Smith Letterman and husband Henry of Raleigh; son Joel Smith of Charleston, SC; sister Elgevia Spikes of Angier and grandson Clark Letterman of Raleigh.
Mrs. Smith was employed for many years as a sales associate with Woolworths and was a long time member of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, December 26, 2013 in the Wynne Center of Brown Wynne Funeral Home 300 Saint Mary’s Street, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Montlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00PM until the time of the service at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home.
