Elizabeth Anne Abernathy, 82, passed away on December 23, 2020. Anne was a graduate of Hildebran High School and Gardner-Webb College. She lived and worked in Massachusetts forty plus years before returning to Raleigh.
She was predeceased by her mother Edna Earle Cline Abernathy of Hickory; her father Frank B. Abernathy, and her nephew William Guy Bondurant II of Wilmington, N.C.
She is survived by her sisters, Susan Abernathy Bondurant of Wilmington and Jane Abernathy Zimmerman of Glen Burnie, MD; brother Patrick J. Abernathy (Brenda) of Taylorsville, NC; nephews Scott and Brad Abernathy of Taylorsville, NC; a niece Stephanie Orendorf of Crofton MD; and many grand-nephews and nieces.
We would especially like to thank Dara Ferguson who was her very good friend and who cared for Anne in her final years.
