Edna Currin Erickson, 82, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Born in Marion Co., SC on January 23, 1935; she was the daughter of the late Trupe and Ruby Weaver Currin, spending the majority of her life in Granville Co., NC. She retired from PYA Monarch in 1994 after over 30 years of working in the food distribution industry.
Edna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being a member of Bayleaf Baptist Church and loved her church family.
She is survived by her daughter: Paulette Noblin, of Raleigh; son: Paul Noblin (Barbara), of Archer Lodge; grandchildren: Jacob and Madison Noblin; brother: C.W. Currin, of Creedmoor; sister: Martha Whitfield, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Paul H. Noblin, of Oxford and Bruce Erickson, of Raleigh; grandson, Ezekiel Noblin; sisters, Bobbie Jackson, Mamie Alice Currin and Carolyn Turner; and brother, Dan Currin.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, the staff of Transitions LifeCare and the staff at Duke Raleigh Cancer Center.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8th from 12:30 -2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Pastor Don Gilbert. Interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Bayleaf Baptist Church, Transitions LifeCare or the V Foundation of Cancer Research.
