Dorothy Clayton passed away at the age of 96 on Saturday, December 16 in Wilmington, N.C.
She was born and raised in Asheville, NC. After attending Wake Forest College (University), class of 1948, she had a long successful business career. She worked for Cameron Brown Company and its successors in Raleigh. Upon retiring she spent her time at the beaches near Wilmington, N.C.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Trent Clayton. She is survived by her two daughters, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service were held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Raleigh Memorial Park.
