Doris Elaine Weinberg

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery, 450 State Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.

Doris was born August 16, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Sollie Seligman and Sylvia Sharpiro Seligman Friedman. She was a graduate of Central High School Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Doris pursued her career as a nurse at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she worked for many years. She later retired with her husband to Florida.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Irwin Weinberg.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. Stephen Weinberg and his wife, Linda; Dr. Gary Weinberg; and Richard Weinberg; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Lori; Jessica Malia; Sarah and her husband, Wade; and Samuel; and great grandchildren, Jacob; Eli; Katelyn; and Jonah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
