Doris Allen Peterson, daughter of the late Aza and Bebe Allen died on August 7, 2017. She was born on December 7, 1928 in New Albany, PA.
She is survived by her husband Charles Peterson, daughter Diane, son Glenn, grandson Billy and sisters Ruth and June. She was preceded in death by brothers Charles and Barton, and sister Grace.
She went to cosmetology school in Elmira NY, and had her own salon in Jeffersonville, NY where she met her future husband. She continued to do this in Raleigh. She volunteered at election polls for over 50 years. She was a charter member of Hudson Memorial Church.
A memorial service will be held at Hudson Memorial Church on Six Forks Rd. at 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 10, 2017. The family will immediately receive friends following the memorial service.
