Doran Lee Walker, 79, of Durham passed away on July 23, 2021 at WakeMed North Hospital in Raleigh.
She was born in Fredericksburg, VA to the late Floyd and Estelle Dulin Dillard. She was a highly respected paralegal for the city attorney of Ventura, CA.
She enjoyed the theater, gardening, traveling, and reading mysteries. She loved to laugh and make others smile.
In addition to her parents, Doran is preceded in death by her sister Linda Guinn.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Vanselow, son Frederick Scott Vanselow, sister Eileen Casper, brothers Michael Dillard and Rickey Dillard, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Doran’s life was held on July 31st at 1:00 pm at Leesville Baptist Church, 13301 Leesville Rd. in Raleigh.
