Dong Van Nguyen

Mr. Dong Nguyen was born on November 22, 1921 in Gocong, Vietnam. He is a third son of Mr. Nguyen Van Lau and Tran Thi Quyen. His mother passed away when he was 5 year old and his father passed away when he was 13 year old and leaving him with 3 brothers. Then, he was cared and raised by his grandmother. He graduated from Agriculture Technical School at Ben Cat. Most his life he worked in the agricultural field and last served as an Agriculture Inspector until he retired in 1985.

He married Ngon Thi Vo on August 25, 1942 and had 13 children included 10 boys 3 girls.

His family came to the United States on September 29, 1992. Most of his children and their families settled in Raleigh, North Carolina. His two oldest son still remains in Vietnam and one lives in France.

Mr. Dong Nguyen believed in God and was baptized in 1995. He dedicated his life to his children and grandchildren. He was involved in many activities with Raleigh Christian group until his health did not allow it. Until the last day of life, he still recognized and thought of his children, grandchildren, and friends. His faith in Jesus Christ was strong and he always wished to live with the Lord in heaven.

He was brought to rest in the Lord on October 20, 2013 at 7:35PM. For 92 years he lived out his life on Earth, now he will spend eternity with God.
