Diane Marie Held Kosek

Diane was born in Buffalo, Ny to Paul and Eleanor Brodka Held. She was a 1973 graduate of Kensington High School in Buffalo, NY. Diane was employed at Target of Wake Forest. She was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael William Kosek; son Joseph Scott Kosek and his wife Kelly Ann of Raleigh. Parents Eleanor and Paul Held ; brother Paul John Held of Buffalo NY ; sisters Cynthia Ann Sprague (Wade Sprague ) of Cheektowaga , NY ; Kathleen Theresa Sands (Timothy Sands ) of Lackawanna NY, grandchildren Joseph , Erik ,Celeste and Cadance of Raleigh .

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 Monday April 19th , 2010 St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Raleigh , 5801 Falls of Neuse Road , Raleigh , NC 27609 . Interment will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday April 18th at Brown -Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Road Raleigh, NC 27609.

The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses and Chaplin services on the units of 9100 and 9200 at Duke University Medical Center, for the extraordinary care and love given to Diane during her difficult journey. They treated her as if she were their family member. Memorial contributions made be to both units in honor of Diane.
