David “Kelly” Robbins, 60, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on April 18, 1952 in Raleigh NC, beloved son of David William and Gaynelle (Taylor) Robbins.
Kelly worked at NC State University and was a member of the ENCIS Society. He was a master carpenter and an ordained Baptist Deacon. He will be greatly missed.
He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife, Susan and son, Blake; his mother, Gaynelle, and mother in law, Miriam Foxworth; his brother, Randy Robbins and his niece and nephew, Annie and Colton Robbins. He will also be missed by his sister in law, Karen Pearson and husband John, and wonderful friends, Deborah Anderson, Karen and Chip Barber and their daughter Alyssa, and Bruce and Katherine Powers.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday June 22, from 7:00- 9:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, in the Chapel at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
