There are no words to express the sorrow I feel at the loss of my loving husband, David Michael Lloyd, on February 5th, 2015. However, I could go on and on about the love of my life, the amazing man I had the honor to share my life with, and all I learned from him.
At our wedding, David and I selected a reading from 1 Corinthians 13, which reads “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” David demonstrated that true love on a daily basis. He was the most patient man I know, always kind and slow to anger, quick to apologize, and even quicker to forgive.
David’s smile was contagious, and could light up the room. He was intelligent, witty, and had an amazing sense of humor, always making those around him smile and laugh.
I learned from David the meaning of strength and courage. He enjoyed everyday moments with those around him. He never complained. David loved the verse “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” - Philippians 4:13, and David was blessed with strength from above that left those around him in awe.
David is survived by myself, Megan; his parents, Douglas Michael and Charlene Lloyd; his sister and her husband, Marie and Devlin Shaw; my parents, Peter and Debra Turner; my brother and his wife, Sean and Julie Turner; our niece, Lillian Shaw; our nephew, Ryan Turner; my grandmother, Mary Livermore; and many other family and friends.
David will always be in my heart, as well as the hearts of those who truly knew him.
