I'm sorry to hear that Dr. Bernstein passed away.  I worked in Customer Service with Alcon in Ft Worth when he would call in orders to me.  We share a lot of laughs, jokes and talks about family after hours.  He was a character. When I talked to him the last time he was getting ready to retired and sell his home and move closer to his son in Virginia.  I tried to call him and wish him a happy birthday yesterday and it wasn't like him to not answer or call back.  I looked to see if he had passed away and I was shocked and disappointed I didn't get to pester him one more time. Would have liked to have met his sons.

I am deeply saddened by Dan's passing.  We served together on the Prevent Blindness Board and he followed me as chair several years ago.  Dan was kind to mentor me on several eye issues I was having and I will forever appreciate his counsel.  Please accept my condolences to the entire family.  From the photo's in this album I can see what a wonderful family man he was.  Peace!

I am grateful to have known Dan Bernstein.  He always carried a spirit of encouragement, humor and faithful service during his tenure on the Prevent Blindness NC board.  Our prayers are with his family.  He will be missed.

Dr. Bernstein was a beautiful human that exemplified what we all should strive to be.  He simply loved helping others. 

Please accept our deepest condolences, and we hope that you can find peace and comfort, in time, by remembering what a wonderful person he was and the profound positive impact that he created around him.
