With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clay Jonathan Castillo, a loving son, brother, husband, and father. At the age of 29, Clay left us on October 15, 2023, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Born on May 26, 1994, Clay was the middle brother in our close-knit family. His journey was one marked by love, resilience, and the unwavering commitment to his family. Clay was the devoted husband of Ingrid Zelaya Castillo, and together they shared over a decade of love, building a life and family that was a testament to their deep bond.
In the comforting embrace of his immediate family, Clay found unwavering love and support. His mother, Ercilia Castillo, and father, Zibor Castillo, were the pillars of strength that grounded and nurtured him throughout his life. Clay's journey was shared with his younger brother, Eddy Castillo, and older brother, Omar Castillo, forming deep bonds that will forever be cherished and loved. Together, they witnessed the remarkable chapters of Clay's life, filled with laughter, adventure, and excitement. As a family, they reveled in the joy of each shared moment, creating a collection of enduring memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Clay's greatest achievement and source of pride were his four beautiful children and wife. Ingrid, Leonardo, Gabriel, Isabel, and Catherine were the lights of his life. Clay's role as a father and husband was marked by love, support, and a determination to provide them with the best life possible. Clay and Ingrid began their journey which was filled with love, laughter and purpose on November 4, 2011 which ultimately blossomed to the loving family they have now. He reveled in every milestone and cherished every moment spent with his beloved family.
Professionally, Clay was a hardworking and determined entrepreneur. In the face of adversity, he built a successful business from the ground up. His passion for his work was fueled by a singular purpose - to secure a better future for his family. Clay's legacy as a provider and protector will forever resonate in the lives he touched.
Clay's authenticity and genuine nature endeared him to many. His warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter created a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. In times of joy and sorrow, Clay stood as a pillar of strength and support for those around him.
As we grieve the loss of a remarkable soul, let us also celebrate the incredible life that Clay lived. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to share in his journey.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh. Burial followed.
