Cheryl Ann Hall of Raleigh (affectionately called Nana by her grandsons) went home to be with her Savior and Lord on September 29, 2012. She was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania to loving Christian parents Earl M. and Ann Allison.
It is recorded on the "dash between the dates" of her life (when she was born and when she died) that she loved and served the Lord and her family. She was the executive director and founder of the Bible Application Class that was established in 1987 and continues at Emmanuel Baptist Church and Temple Baptist Church.
She taught in children’s ministry and Child Evangelism Fellowship from 1974 through 1986. She led a Friday afternoon youth Bible Study from 1991 through 2011. She was also a Bible Study Fellowship Leader from 1981 through 1987 and conducted many spiritual workshops and women’s retreats. Cheryl and her husband loved to travel and led a tour to the Holy Land in 2006.
Along with her parents, Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Jerry and her precious sons Eric Christian (and wife Carolyn and son Aidan); Nathan Christopher (and wife Cassie and sons, Garrett and Tyler) all of whom were the great joys of her life as well as many special and loving friends whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by a brother, David (wife, Kathleen), sisters-in-law Judy Schwartz, Barbara Boydell (husband John) and brother-in-law Gary (wife, Shelby) all of Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life will be held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 7600 Falls of Neuse Rd. at 10:00AM Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 with a visitation at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd. from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, Oct. 1, 2012.
