Born in Tuscaloosa, AL, to Adron L. and Annabelle Herrin, he was preceded in death by his parents and brother, "Butch" Herrin.
An ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Chuck served churches in both the North Alabama and NC Conferences, for over 35 years before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Kitty: two siblings, Hal and Candy; two children, Chris and Heather; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and Nora.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 26th from 4-6pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 27th at 2 pm at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 2501 Clark Ave. Raleigh. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
