Betty was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 25 years. She retired from the Federal Government after over 25 years of dedicated service, and retired from JC Penney after 5 years of service. Betty enjoyed reading, computer games, Papillons and most of all playing cards. She will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known he

Betty is survived by her brother, Doyle W. Sims of Raleigh, NC; niece, Janata C. Sims of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Mark W. Sims and wife Victoria of Hilo, HI and other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. Prior to the funeral service the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M.
