Bailey Sears Clinton

Bailey proudly served his country in the United States Army. He moved to Raleigh in 1987 and became a faithful member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church. Bailey retired from McCroys as a Manager after 50 years of dedicated service. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Bailey will be remembered as a man with a high level of honesty and integrity, quit wit, a great sense of humor and a Strong devotion and deep Faith in Christ. Bailey will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known him.

Bailey is survived by the love of his life and wife of over 40 years, Janie Powell Clinton, “They shared a one of a kind love for each other”; daughters, Angie Welsh and her children; Rebecca Hill and her children and her grandchildren; Melinda Clinton; Kathy Clinton; son, Bailey Sears Clinton, II and his wife Gina and their children Miles and Brice; sister, Betty Fureigh and husband Ray; brother, Jim Clinton and wife Susan and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bay Leaf Church Rd. Burial will follow at Bay Leaf Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
