Arlene Toulson Blasko

She was the first baby born in Cortland County, New York in 1924. She served as an administrative assistant at IBM until she started her family. She resumed her working career with AT&T until she retired as a manager. She was voracious reader. She never met a craft she couldn’t perform with expertise and perfection. She was a tiny woman with a commanding presence.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John. She is survived by her daughter Donna and her son Craig (Margaret), granddaughters Kimberly Westall (James), Donna Blasko, Jess Vavra and great grandchildren Matthew and Abigail Westall. She is also survived by several nieces she was very close to.

Donna and Craig would like to thank Amedisys Hospice nurse Maggie Tanner for the wonderful care she lovely gave to our mom.

A memorial mass will be held on April 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27603. An inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh. There will be a gathering at the home following the cemetery.
