Annie Hogwood Nordan

Annie graduated from Needham Broughton High School, in the second graduation class in 1931. She attended King’s Business College and retired from the NC State Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine and active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Her greatest passion was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Annie was predeceased by James W. Nordan, her loving husband of 50 years. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Nordan Pruitt and Kay Nordan Campbell and husband Jimmy, both of Cary, NC; her dear grandchildren, Frank Floyd, Jr. (Renee), Amy Floyd Edge (Monty), Stephanie C. Pond (Robert), Lisa G. Campbell, and Kimberley D’Arruda (Pete), and by 8 great -grandchildren, and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Annie was also preceded by her brothers, Morrison and Joseph Hogwood, and by her sisters, Mae Wall and Carruth Harp.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday August 23, from 10:00-11:00am, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh NC. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Raleigh Memorial Park.
