Anna M. Marsh of Raleigh died peacefully on Sunday, August 25,2013, at Rex Hospital after a brief illness. Born April 2,1922 in Woroschilowgrad, Ukraine, she came to the United States through Ellis Island in 1950 and became a U.S. citizen in 1959.
She raised four sons and worked for 23 years as a nurse at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Husein Marsh. She is survived by her sons Schappi (Emily), Jimmy (Shelly), Jonathan (Susanne), and Peter. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother to Christy, Laura, Ashley, Brandon, Christopher, Matthew, Marrisa, Mitchell, Darryl, Kari, Sarah, Ronja, Scott, Molly, Bradley, Ali, Maddie, Gerrit, Carter, Jack, Silas, Emily Paige, and June.
A graveside service will be held 1pm Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612. Condolences may be made to www.BrownWynne.com
