Born March 8, 1946, in New York, the daughter of the late William H. Williamson, Jr. and Dorothy R. Williamson of Raleigh, formerly of Great Neck, NY. Ann earned a BFA degree from UNCG and an MAT from UNC-CH. She taught art in the Wake Co. public schools, was a docent at the Mordecai House, and a longtime active member of Highland UMC. She enjoyed nurturing her perennial garden, playing bridge with friends, and most of all spending treasured time and making memories with her family and especially her soulmate, Joe, to whom she was devoted. They loved going to Wake Forest games and traveling to their ‘Happy Place’ on Harkers Island.
Ann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Mema, and cherished friend. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Hall of Raleigh; daughter, Beverley O’Daniel (Brent) of Cary; son, Brian Hall (Dana) of New Bern; grandson, Evan Hall (Alyssa); step-grandchildren; Katie, Glenn, and Caroline O’Daniel; brother-in-law, Robert J. Hall (Helen); nephew, Allen Hall (Kathy); grandnephew, Taylor Hall; and many special cousins.
A visitation will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s St. in Raleigh, NC, from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Burial will take place in Historic Oakwood Cemetery, with a private family graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, National Scleroderma Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
