Ann Virginia Reilly Dunn

Ann Virginia Reilly Dunn, 92, passed away on her 92nd birthday surrounded by her family at Smithfield Manor Nursing Home, in Smithfield, NC. Ann was the daughter of James and Kathryn Reilly. She was born in Manhattan, New York. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle, and began a career with the New York phone company.

Mrs. Dunn had a life full of joy. She was a loving mother and grandmother, an avid reader, loved her time as a line dancer with Raleigh Community Center, and enjoyed her years working at JC Penney at North Hills Mall.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, William A. Dunn.

She is survived by her seven children: Andrew Dunn and spouse Kathleen, Kenneth Dunn and spouse Ruth, Christopher Dunn and spouse Casey, Laura Broadhead and spouse Steve, Jeffery Dunn, Nancy Lampe and spouse John, and Timothy Dunn. She has 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 21 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Rd., Raleigh NC 27609.

Funeral mass will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of the Neuse Rd, Raleigh NC 27609.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to Saint Raphael’s Church at the address above.
