Angela Johnson Blalock

Angela lived life with passion– passion for her family, for the young children she taught and nurtured, for her friends, and for all those she came to know. When she loved something, she loved it with her whole heart. All who knew her were blessed by her unwavering faith in God, her courage and her giving spirit. She lit up everyone’s day with her vibrant personality and enthusiasm for life. Whether you knew her as Grammy, Nana, Mom, Ms. Angela or just Angela, you knew you were loved unconditionally.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Lee Blalock, daughters, Anna Elliott and her husband Kris, and daughter, Lindsey Blalock; and her son, Joseph Blalock and his wife Ellen; precious grandchildren, Lilly, Madilyn, Wilson, Clark and Henry. She will also be deeply missed by her mother, Linda Williams, sister, Heather Sawyer and brothers, Lyle and Lance Johnson and by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, September 28 from 4:00-6:00pm, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh NC. The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Monday, September 29, at St. Andrew’s UMC, 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh, NC. The graveside service will follow at Montlawn Memorial Gardens.
