Amy Elizabeth Newton, 36, of Raleigh died Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was born in N. Kansas City, MO, May 28th, 1978. She lived in Raleigh since she was 3 years old, and was the daughter of Stephen J. Toth, Jr. and Libbie Howell Toth of Raleigh who survive her, and the late Larry R. Newton of Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Christopher R. Newton (Rebecca Valero) of Asheville; best friend, Enrique Perez of Cary; grandparents Stephen J. Toth and the late Virginia S. Toth of Kinston; uncles, Jerry Newton and Michael Barrash of Baltimore, MD.
She was the granddaughter of the late George and Verna Howell of Wilson, NC.
Amy graduated from Millbrook High School in Raleigh in 1996, and the College of Textiles, Apparel Management, North Carolina State University in 2002.
Amy was a vibrant, energetic soul. Compassionate, talkative and full of life, Amy brought laughter, style and joy to all.
A visitation will be held in Kerr Hall at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, Thursday, March 5th, from 5pm- 7pm. A memorial service to celebrate Amy's life will be held at Edenton Street UMC on Friday March 6th, at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edenton Street United Methodist Church, or to the youth program at Hudson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
