

Amelia Herrera Eder, 96, died May 25, 2011. Born in the Republic of Panama, she has lived in Raleigh, NC since 1987. She was an elementary school teacher, assistant principal, and executive administrative assistant of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation in Panama City.
Amelia loved attending the Whitaker Mill Senior Center and serving as an RSVP volunteer. She was talented in teaching, painting, gardening and needlework,. Her spirit and contagious smile affected everyone she met. She was cherished by family, friends and caregivers alike.
She is survived by sons Bill Herrera Beardall and wife Judy Smith of Raleigh, NC and Charles Walter Beardall and wife Jonilynn Beardall of Carolina Shores, NC; grandsons Bradford Clement Beardall and Travis Scott Beardall of Fairfax, VA, sisters Ana Esther Eder and Lina Carmen Herrera of Panama City, Republic of Panama, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Ernest Eder, grandson, Stuart Charles Beardall, two sisters and a brother.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, at 2 p.m. in the Wynne Center at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh The family will receive following the service.
