Amanda Rachael Wall blessed this world on October 24, 1981 as a beautiful, vibrant baby girl. She was born at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina to Gary O’Neil Wall and Rebecca Chavis Jones. Amanda attended Daniels Middle School and Broughton High School with her childhood neighborhood buddies, Jana and Erin before venturing off to Greenville, North Carolina to attend and graduate from East Carolina University.
Amanda always put her friends and family above herself. She seized the day and lived in the moment. She never met a stranger. From the person delivering the mail to the person cleaning the office to children she encountered along the way, she made everyone in her path feel important and made their day a little brighter. Amanda loved to gather and socialize with her friends, of which there were many, especially if it involved a birthday, Holiday or a good tailgate experience before an ECU or NC State football game.
Amanda rarely said no, always willing to try something different and experience a new part of what life had to offer. She loved it all, especially those she experienced it with. She always made it a point to make her friends feel special, always putting them above herself. Amanda loved life and always brightened any room with her vibrant, contagious smile that drew everyone to her.
Amanda was selfless, giving and above all, a friend. We will never forget the strength and courage she displayed during times when lesser people would have given up. She fought for life to the very end and will always and forever be a part of us.
Amanda, please know you are by far the strongest person any of us have ever met. You have been the smiling face and the one to make every moment memorable. It is who you are. Your amazing spirit and beautiful qualities inside and out have made us all take notice and envy you in a way that you will never understand. You are THAT special to our hearts!
Amanda is survived by her parents, Gary Wall and Rebecca Jones and Step-Father, Don Jones and Step-Brother, Adam Jones and boyfriend and best friend, Rick Fahnestock. She is also survived by many cousins she dearly loves, many Aunts and Uncles and her maternal Grandmother, Leona Chavis.
A special ‘Thank You’ goes out to the Faulconer Construction family who loved and supported Amanda throughout her journey. Amanda genuinely loved working with all the members of Faulconer Construction.
