Alan "Jason" McCabe

Alan “Jason” McCabe, 47, died at his home in Cary, NC on December 26, 2010. He was born October 24, 1963 in Fort Rucker, AL to parents Raymond Earl McCabe and Sarah Ivey McCabe. Jason grew up in Fayetteville, NC and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from NC State University in 1986. His career as a computer network engineer included working for IBM and, most recently, Verizon Business.

He was a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church. Jason was an avid cyclist and sports fan.

Jason is survived by his wife, Lori Irene Drum, and by three siblings, James Barrett McCabe of Plano, TX, Raymond Stephen McCabe of Raleigh, NC, and Suzanne McCabe Robertson of Fayetteville, NC.

The family will receive friends between 7 and 9 pm on Thursday, December 30th at Mitchell Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 31st at Avent Ferry United Methodist Church in Raleigh, NC, with the Reverend Kay Johnson officiating. Burial at Raleigh Memorial Park will follow.
