Mr. Warner was born in Hoke County, NC on April 23, 1928, to the late James Lytch Warner and Ruth Matheson Warner. He was a member of the Raeford United Methodist Church, served in the US Navy from 1946 to 1948, and was a lifelong farmer in Hoke County. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Williamson, and granddaughter, Cody Nicole Warner.
He is survived by his children, James (Bubba) L. Warner and his wife, Katharine of Raeford, Richard Warner and Stephanie of Red Springs, and Victoria (Vicki) W. Pannell and her husband, Dan of Vass, NC; 2 grandchildren, Jamie D. Warner of Raeford and Heath Warner of Red Springs, 3 great-grandchildren and longtime companion, Mildred Maxwell as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held, 11:30 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Raeford Cemetery with Pastor Joshua Eom officiating.
